Dear Reader
Once again we must apologize for taking
so long bringing out an issue. We have
made some improvements which may result
In greater frequency of publication in
the future. Meanwhile, we have also been
behind In fundraising efforts. If ever
you thought you'd like to send a little
extra $$ our way, through a non-tax-
deductible donation or gift sub, now is
the time!
One super mishap during this
Issue's crucial production period was
that a key member of our production team
and long time dean of our editorial
staff and major support of this
publication, Careufel DeLamière suffered
a stroke and Is presently in a re-hab
center In Staten Island. I know you join
us in wishing her a speedy and complete
recovery. We thank Sonia Lynch for her
astoundingly prompt emergency
proofreading, and Ron (R. Dionysius)
Whiteurs for frequent and much needed
transportation aid.
We have an extraordinary issue here,
chock full of poems, stories, and other
creative writing, as well as reviews of
27 books and magazines and of one off-
beat existentialist play. Plus, for the
first time a restaurant review: If you
are a starving, penniless poet type,
lost anywhere in the Hudson Valley, our
newest columnist, Teresa, will steer you
right.
Which for some reason reminds us to
give a thumbs up, a raised fist, or a
big V sign to the 99 percenters lately
occupying everything everywhere.

Dear Online Reader
Well, as the regular issue of Home Planet News is late, so then must be the online edition. But my getting the issue late is only partly to blame for the online issue coming out this late. The rest is me.
On one hand I put a lot of work into this issue, 5 pages of poetry, 3 pages of reviews, several other pages of writing, all while holidays, birthdays, and other things were going on. However, on the other hand, I also spend a good deal of time reading this issue. Reading and Remembering!
So many names came up in this issue of people I've known: Carol Bargé who took me under her wing; Margo De Silva, I read with her as one of the Tin Palace Allstars, and proudly published a book by her; Jack Micheline who thought me to hold tightly to my childhood in the Bronx; Enid Dame, full of the spirit of life and poetry, friend and mentor to so many of us. And there are those who are still living but whom I have not seen in a long while: Paul Pines, Gregg Weatherby, Shirley Powell and many more. The names bring memories, good memories, and I took time to enjoy them
Normally, in an effort to get the online issue out, I don't read it fully until after the website is up. This issue had me reading every page. I wished I could have put every page on the website. But it isn't possible. To see all of this issue, and the many wonderful issues to come, Subscribe now (see About Us).
Welcome Teresa! Get better soon Careufel. You are missed.
