A NEW TRANSLATION

easier for a camel
to pass through the eye
of a needle than for me
to thread it much less sew one
goddam button on
my good work shirt so what should
I expect to reap

I of very little faith
the exact volume & weight
of a mustard seed
but lo mountains aren’t moving
only their shadows
passing slowly over me
at the closing of my days
